DESCRIPTION: ZIRLITE 485 is an alcohol base, fused zirconia refractory coating. This coating has a high percentage of a stable zirconia content. ZIRLITE 485 has been formulated to substantially reduce metal penetration and burnon defects that can be encountered with medium and heavy sectioned iron and steel castings. The coating is supplied in a heavy slurry form. ZIRLITE 485 can be applied by flow coating, brushing, swabbing or spraying.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
ZIRLITE 485 should be mixed thoroughly before use. We recommend the use of an explosion-proof, motor-driven mixer. ZIRLITE 485 is shipped as a heavy slurry. If necessary, the Baume´ can be reduced by reducing the ZIRLITE 485 with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA 99%). Caution: Solvent is highly flammable.
