CB-4S COLD BOX QUICK RELEASE

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

CB-4S is a unique blend of silicones in a light aliphatic solvent naphtha. This flammable blend contains no chlorinated solvents, no HAP listed solvents, and has not been shown to contribute to ozone depletion. CB-4S has been specially formulated for use in various cold box processes including phenolic urethane carbon dioxide, and sulfur dioxide. This product offers excellent release on aluminum, urethane, and metal core boxes.

RECOMMENDED APPLICATION

Since CB-4S is flammable, it must be used with extreme caution and only where the use of flammables is allowed.

CB-4S can be applied either by spraying, brushing or wiping. Whatever technique is used, it is recommended a uniform coat be applied to insure consistent release. The frequency of application will depend upon core complexity and application technique. Application frequency should provide good release properties while minimizing build-up.
