DESCRIPTION: Pyrotech 280 is a water base, pyrophyllite/fused alumina refractory coating with a 70/30 ratio of refractories. Pyrotech 280 has been formulated to substantially reduce metal penetration and burnon defects that can be encountered with medium and heavy sectioned iron and steel castings. This coating is supplied in a heavy slurry form. Pyrotech 280 can be applied by flow coating, brushing, swabbing or spraying.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

Pyrotech 280 should be mixed with a pneumatic or and electric mixer. Material must be mixed thoroughly in its container before diluting with water. Pyrotech 280 is designed to be diluted by the customer to its proper specification according to the application. Pyrotech 280 must be torch or oven dried prior to casting.
