PERM CAST 100
Non-Wetting Coating

DESCRIPTION:  HI TEMP PERM CAST 100 is a blend of refractories designed for coating molten aluminum and copper alloy accessories. The coating which is in a slurry form can be applied by brushing or spraying. HI TEMP PERM CAST  100 will prevent burnon with consistent use and will extend the life of all aluminum and brass  accessories. The coating is designed to be reduced with water at the customer’s facility.

COATING PREPARATION:

HI TEMP PERM CAST 100 should be mixed with a pneumatic or an electric mixer.  Material must be mixed thoroughly in its container before diluting. Caution: This coating should be protected from freezing at all times. Severe freezing could cause the coating to settle out.

Coating can be adjusted by water to an appropriate viscosity level. Recommended levels are as follows:

1. Viscosity:

  2600 CPS – 3000 CPS
     (Brookfield Viscometer using Spindle 3 @ 20 RPM)

2. Baume':
     a. Brushing
     b. Spraying
 
2500CPS - 3500CPS
64° – 68°
66° – 70°
